Islamabad (Abbas Baig Mirza) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested five other officers, including a colonel of the Army Ordnance Corps, in Kolkata. According to an Indian newspaper, Ordnance Corps Colonel Himanshu Bali is accused of taking a bribe of Rs 50 lakh. The officers allegedly manipulated army tenders, approved substandard samples, and waived bills in exchange for kickbacks from a Kanpur-based private defense supplier. Indian TV channels also exposed the corrupt stories of the colonel and his associates.
