RAWALPINDI: The owners of Mega City Gujjar Khan have been accused of occupying more than four hundred kanals of land belonging to the indigenous owners in Mauza Jaro Ratial.
The affected individuals in the area, when talking to the Daily Digital Post, claimed that the occupying mafia, in collusion with government officers and with the support of the police, revenue department, and local administration, has seized their ancestral land.
They accused Mega City Gujjar Khan’s land mafia of deploying armed individuals in the area to prevent them from rightfully accessing their own lands.
The residents informed that the Mega City land mafia has also taken over government land, including land allocated for public welfare, pastures, ponds, and official water channels.
The residents revealed that the fraudsters of the land mafia have illegally seized different large pieces of land, including 100 kanals belonging to Abdur Rahim Alvi, 100 kanals owned by Faisal, 55 kanals of Shaukat, 50 kanals of Saber, 50 kanals of Muhammad Azad, 40 kanals of Muhammad Aslam, 27 kanals of Dildar, 25 kanals of Mehraban, 25 kanals of Saber, 22 kanals of Abdul Rehman, and 18 kanals of Junaid. All these landowners are native residents of the Mohra Mayal village.
The residents blamed the local administration and police for facilitating the Mega City Gujjar Khan Land Mafia in expanding their illegal occupation of their lands.
The affected individuals of the Mega City Gujjar Khan housing scam have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner, CPO, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Rawalpindi, and Assistant Commissioner Gujjar Khan for help in retrieving their lands from this land mafia.
The residents stated that the village Mayal and its surrounding areas are lands of martyrs and heroes of the Pakistan Army.
They have also demanded that the Army Chief should play a role in providing justice and ensuring strict accountability.
The residents also demand that Chief Minister Punjab and Commissioner Rawalpindi, Liaquat Ali Chatha, should deploy rangers in the area to identify and demarcate their lands. They also urge the concerned authorities to remove all armed individuals deployed by Mega City Gujjar Khan from their lands and maintain law and order.
The owners of Mega City Gujjar Khan, Sheikh Tayyab Al Aziz Builders, Mubasher Hayat Earthlink Enterprises, and Chaudhry Qaiser Tycoon Builders, after occupying the lands of local people without obtaining LOP and NOC from Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), have sold thousands of files to local citizens and overseas Pakistanis and shifted this looted money abroad through money laundering.
It is important to mention that the society has been declared illegal by the RDA on its website, and DG RDA Saif Anwar Jappa has issued a notice declaring the sale and purchase of files in such housing societies as illegal.
He has also warned YouTubers and real estate marketing companies to immediately remove all promotional materials related to illegal projects and they must issue an apology to the public for sharing misleading content, otherwise, they should be prepared to face prosecution and strict action.
