Islamabad (Digital Post) – Police encounter in the New Town area: notorious robber Nigel alias Sheron killed, while Constable Khurshid was injured after being struck by a bullet during the exchange of fire.

A motorcycle reported stolen from the New Town area, along with weapons, was recovered from the suspects.

According to police, the deceased robber, Nigel alias Sheron, had a criminal record in several serious cases and had previously been convicted by a court in murder and robbery-cum-murder cases. Police further stated that the accused had allegedly killed another citizen during a robbery incident two weeks ago.

The incident occurred when police signaled a suspicious motorcycle to stop during routine checking. Instead of complying, the suspects allegedly opened fire on the police, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

During the encounter, Nigel alias Sheron was killed, while Constable Khurshid sustained gunshot injuries. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
