Haripur (Digital Post) The largest mountain range of Khanpur, Hattar, and Taxila, Sarrah Mountain, was set on fire and burned. Due to the lack of access routes on the mountain, rescue operations faced significant difficulties.
Because of the massive flames, valuable forests spread over a vast area, along with birds, wildlife, and animals, were burned and reduced to ashes. The fire, which was reportedly started two days earlier, quickly engulfed the entire mountain.
In the outskirts of Khanpur, including Mamrahal, Sooraj Gali, and surrounding areas, clouds of ash could be seen spreading in the air. Meanwhile, on the other side, the fire also spread to Taxila and nearby areas of Punjab, including Salar Gah and adjoining localities.
Members of the public stated that such fires are started every year during the summer season.
