Islamabad (Digital Post): CDA diesel theft scandal exposed — FIA action, one accused arrested, another habitual suspect Rab Nawaz (guard) escapes.

In Islamabad, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) carried out a major operation against a group involved in the theft and illegal sale of government diesel belonging to CDA. One accused has been arrested, while his accomplice managed to escape.

According to details, FIA registered case number 11/2026 dated April 07, 2026, on the report submitted by Assistant Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali. The report stated that FIA received confidential information about government diesel being stolen and sold to private individuals.

Acting on the tip-off, an FIA team conducted a raid near the MPO Office H-10/3 on Kashmir Highway in Islamabad. During the operation, a marked currency note of 5,000 rupees was used as a trap through an FC personnel and handed over to the suspect.

The accused identified himself as the in-charge of a CDA-managed diesel pump. During the raid, the marked 5,000 rupees were recovered from the pocket of the accused, Manwar Shah, while a diesel-filled container and related record were also taken into custody.
