Karachi (Digital Posts) Police Arrested Gutka Mafia; SHO Anees Shaikh Commended for Effective Action

Karachi (Digital Posts) Karachi Manghopir Police in Karachi West have arrested individuals involved in the supply and sale of gutka, mawa, and chhalia in a successful operation led by SHO Anees Sheikh.
Acting on the directives of SSP West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi, SHO Anees Sheikh conducted snap-checking at the Northern Bypass and apprehended two suspects who were attempting to smuggle and supply chhalia and prepared gutka mawa from Hub, بلوچستان, to Karachi using a rickshaw.
According to SHO Anees Sheikh, a total of 100 packets (2,200 sachets) of gutka mawa and 6 sacks (approximately 60–72 kg) of chhalia were recovered from the rickshaw. The vehicle used for the supply was also taken into police custody.
SSP West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi stated that further investigations are underway and a case is being registered against the arrested suspects under the سندھ Gutka Mawa Act. The arrested individuals have been identified as Majid, son of Akbar, and Rahim Jan, son of Syed Ali.
