KARACHI (Digital Posts) Karachi The Sindh High Court has taken serious notice of alleged illegal appointments and promotions at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and directed the Sindh Health Secretary to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry.
During the proceedings, the names of Dawar Hussain, Muhammad Faisal, and Rajia Urooj, among others, surfaced in connection with the case. The court dictated its order in open court, instructing the Health Secretary to initiate a comprehensive probe and submit a detailed report within fifteen days.
The bench made it clear that the matter will be taken up again after the stipulated period and that disciplinary action and possible penalties will be considered if irregularities are established.
Sources said the order was dictated in open court to ensure transparency and formally notify the concerned authorities so that legal requirements are fulfilled without delay.
Attention now turns to the Health Secretary and the Chief Secretary Sindh regarding the formation of an inquiry committee and timely submission of the report.
