RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatha has taken notice of the illegal housing society Mega City Gujar Khan.

While talking to Digital Post, Chatha said that he has directed the Task Force and Stunt Commissioner Gujar Khan to investigate the matter and take strict legal action against the mafia involved in causing financial loss to citizens through illegal advertising/marketing without obtaining NOC and LOP approval.

Chatha said that the administration will not tolerate any illegal activity and will take all necessary steps to protect the interests of the people. He urged citizens to be vigilant and to avoid investing in any illegal housing society.

As per detail Citizen Raja Shabbir has accused the owners of Mega City Gujar Khan of fraud and money laundering. Shabbir alleges that the owners signed contracts for a few hundred kanals of land in Gujar Khan and sold thousands of files through trading. He also blamed that the owners of said society have transferred 8 billion rupees abroad through illegal channels. He also claims that the owners have threatened him with serious consequences.

Shabbir has filed a complaint with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Lahore High Court, Army Chief, DG NAB and DG FIA, Chief Minister of Punjab, and Commissioner Rawalpindi. He has urged the authorities to investigate the matter and take action against the owners of Mega City Gujar Khan.

The authorities are currently investigating the allegations against Mega City Gujar Khan. If the allegations are proven to be true, the owners of the housing society could face serious legal consequences, including imprisonment and financial penalties.

On the other hand the Authorities urged the citizens to be vigilant and to avoid investing in any illegal housing society. Before investing in any housing society, citizens should verify that the society has obtained all necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.
