Islamabad (Digital Post) Magistrate’s Driver Accused of Having Citizen Illegally Detained at Police Station

Islamabad (Digital Post) A driver serving with the Industrial Area Magistrate has been accused of having a citizen unlawfully detained at a police station. Following the citizen’s complaint, the magistrate’s driver was arrested.

According to reports, the official, identified as Usama, allegedly conducted a fake raid along with other staff members and had a citizen taken into custody and confined at the police station.

Police arrested Usama and shifted him to the police station for further legal proceedings.

Usama was performing duties as the driver for the Area Magistrate at the time of the incident.

Complaints have also emerged from local residents and shopkeepers, alleging that the suspect was involved in extortion.
