Islamabad (Digital Post) IGP Islamabad reviews security preparedness, orders enhanced security measures Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad, SSP CTD, and other officers,During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the overall law and order situation in Islamabad, counter-terrorism measures, security arrangements, police operational preparedness, and matters related to the protection of citizens lives and property. The performance of various departments, prevailing security challenges, and strategies to address them were also discussed. The IGP Islamabad directed officers to utilize all available resources to ensure the maintenance of law and order in the federal capital and further strengthen and coordinate security arrangements. He emphasized that the protection of citizens lives and property is the foremost responsibility of Islamabad Police and that any negligence or lapse in this regard will not be tolerated. He further instructed that the foolproof security plan for Muharram-ul-Haram be implemented in its entirety to ensure the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings and processions. He also directed that sensitive locations be closely monitored and that all necessary measures be completed in a timely manner to maintain peace and order. The IGP Islamabad stated that every possible facility should be provided to citizens Muharram-ul-Haram.Effective arrangements should also be made to maintain the smooth flow of traffic, and police personnel should perform their duties with professionalism and courtesy toward the public. At the conclusion of the meeting, he reaffirmed Islamabad Police commitment to taking all possible measures to protect citizens, maintain peace, and uphold the rule of law.Furthermore, under the “Open Door Policy,” IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court. On this occasion, he listened to the concerns of citizens and police officers and issued necessary instructions to the relevant officials for their resolution on the spot.The IGP Islamabad stated that the prompt resolution of citizens issues in accordance with merit and the law is their top priority. He added that any citizen facing a police-related issue should feel free to attend the open court, as the doors of his office are always open to the public.Acting upon citizens complaints, he directed the concerned officers to dispose of applications on merit within the stipulated time and submit reports to the Central Police Office.The IG further stated that Islamabad Police is continuously taking measures to provide better services to citizens, and that the daily organization of open court sessions is playing a significant role in the prompt and priority-based resolution of public issues.
