Haripur (Digital Post): The bail application of nominated accused Ali Zaman in the Bugrah Umair Khan murder case has been rejected by a two-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan headed by Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan.

Haripur (Digital Post): On behalf of the complainant, Member Provincial Bar Council Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and renowned lawyer Syed Shahid Shah Advocate presented arguments.

On 5 July 2025, Umair Khan son of Zahid Akhtar, resident of Bugrah, was shot dead at a stop by two motorcyclists. A case was registered at Sarai Saleh Police Station on the complaint of the deceased’s mother, Mst. (A), widow of Zahid Akhtar. Later, in her statement under section 164, the complainant nominated Ali Zaman son of Muhammad Zaman and Adeel Ahmad son of Saleem, residents of Jumma Abad, Haripur. The police of Sarai Saleh Police Station arrested the accused and sent them to jail. Their bail applications had already been rejected by the Sessions Court and the High Court.

Accused Ali Zaman filed a bail application in the Supreme Court of Pakistan before the honorable court comprising Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan and Justice Aqeel Abbasi.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the two-member bench headed by Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan rejected the bail application of the accused Ali Zaman.

On behalf of the complainant, renowned lawyer and Member Provincial Bar Council KP, Syed Shahid Shah Advocate, presented arguments.
