Karachi (Report: Pir Bux Noonari)KarachiThe Young Doctors Association Sindh has rejected the committee formed by the DIG Police Mirpurkhas regarding the murder of Dr Kareem Sheikh, terming it contrary to the principles of justice and accountability. In an official statement, Chairman YDA Sindh Dr Mehboob Ali Noonari stated that the committee represents a mockery of justice and is equivalent to disregarding the sacrifice of the slain doctor. He added that the contents of a doctor’s letter serve as clear evidence that fear has spread among medical professionals, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and distress. The association has demanded that the Chief Minister Sindh, Health Minister, Director General Health Sindh, Director Health Services Mirpurkhas, and other relevant authorities immediately take action by becoming complainants in the case of Dr Kareem Sheikh, ensure the registration of a murder case, and order the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. The statement emphasized that justice must be delivered to the slain doctor and that those responsible should be brought to accountability without delay. It further highlighted that the prevailing environment of fear among doctors must be addressed urgently. YDA Sindh warned that failure to ensure justice would lead to province wide protests across Sindh.
