Karachi (Report: Pir Bux Noonari): Following the verdict delivered by the Sindh High Court against the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, the situation is being described as serious and alarming. The High Court expressed strong displeasure over the alleged administrative incompetence and controversial decisions under the leadership of Executive Director Tahir Sagheer.

The court ruled in favor of the Head of the Procurement Department and observed that a Grade 17 officer had been unlawfully holding a Grade 19 position, which was in clear violation of the applicable rules and regulations.

The court issued clear directives that all future appointments and administrative decisions must strictly comply with the law and established procedures.
In its remarks, the court stated that abuse of authority and unfair practices in any major public healthcare institution are absolutely unacceptable. Accepting the petitioner’s stance as valid, the court decided in their favor and emphasized that continued irresponsible and unlawful actions could seriously damage the reputation, performance, and public trust of any large medical institution.

This verdict serves as a clear and unequivocal message to the administration of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases that administrative incompetence and misuse of authority will no longer be tolerated.
