Islamabad (Digital Posts) Khanewal Police Arrest Suspect in Alleged Blackmail and Exploitation Case Khanewal police have arrested a man accused of blackmailing young women by allegedly recording explicit videos under the pretext of offering employment and later using the material to extort money, officials said.

According to the complainant, the suspect, identified as Ayaz Sahu, allegedly lured her to a private hospital by offering a job opportunity. She stated in the FIR that she was recorded without consent and was later threatened with the release of the videos on social media unless she paid money.

Officials from Khanewal police confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody following the registration of a First Information Report at the Halimba police station. Acting promptly on the complaint, the Station House Officer, along with the investigation team, conducted a raid and arrested the accused from his workplace.

Police said the suspect’s mobile phone and other digital devices were seized during the arrest and have been sent for forensic examination. Authorities believe the forensic analysis will help determine whether additional victims may have been targeted and whether any material was shared online.

Investigators further disclosed that at least two other individuals are being questioned regarding their possible involvement in the alleged circulation of the videos.

Law enforcement officials described the case as sensitive and said the investigation is ongoing. They declined to comment on reports suggesting that certain influential individuals may be attempting to broker a settlement, reiterating that the matter will proceed strictly in accordance with the law.

Community members have called for a transparent inquiry and strict legal action against anyone found guilty, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding citizens from exploitation and digital blackmail.
