Islamabad (News Reporter) – The victims of Islamabad strongly protested against the non-transparent notice of the CDA. The unanimous stand of the owners of thousands of houses and lands of Sectors E-13, D-13 and F-13. The owners of lands and houses of Sectors E-13, D-13 and F-13 of Islamabad have strongly protested against the recent notice issued by the CDA, terming it as non-transparent, unfair and unilateral action. The victims say that the CDA completed the survey through Suparco but did not take any local owner or resident into confidence in this process. This practice is not only a violation of the fundamental rights of the victims but also contrary to the requirements of justice. Moreover, the victims have been given a short period of only 10 days to submit their papers, which is impossible and unfair. The victims say that if the CDA has completed all the surveys without informing them, then they should get the papers themselves from the sky, because the original owners have been kept completely separate from this whole process. The old survey of 2008 is unacceptable. The statement says that the CDA is once again going to give awards based on the old survey of 2008, in which neither the current population is registered, nor the houses built later are recognized. According to the victims, the same type of injustice was done to the residents of Sector C-13 and C-16 earlier, and now the same attitude is being adopted again. The victims of Islamabad say that five to six thousand families have been living in Sector E-13, D-13, and F-13 for generations. They made it clear that, these are our lands and our houses, we will never give up our legitimate rights. We will not bow down to any injustice, even if it means sacrifices for it. The victims have demanded that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, the Chairman CDA, and the relevant government institutions immediately suspend the current notice issued by the CDA, and that the owners be taken into confidence through transparency and dialogue. The rights of the victims, frozen since 2008, should be restored. At the end of the statement, the victims said that they are now completely united, and will continue to stand as a leaden wall against any unfair, unilateral or illegal action. We have learned lessons from the experiences of the victims of Sector C-13 and C-16. Now we will not tolerate such cruelty again under any circumstances. Justice is our right, and we will continue to struggle until we achieve it.
