This direction was given by IG Islamabad Captain (R) Sohail Chaudhry to the concerned officers during an open kutchery at the Central Police Office. Negligence or delay of any kind in resolving public issues will not be tolerated.Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources for the protection of citizens’ lives and property, the prompt resolution of public complaints, and further improvement in the standard of policing. During the open kutchery at the Central Police Office, the IG listened to citizens’ complaints and issued on-the-spot orders for their resolution. He directed the relevant officers to resolve citizens’ problems on merit and without delay so that timely justice and effective redressal can be ensured.Furthermore, IG Islamabad invited police officers who had ensured the protection of citizens’ lives and property and demonstrated excellent professional performance to his office and awarded them certificates of appreciation in recognition of their services. On the occasion, while encouraging the officers, he directed them to perform their duties with greater dedication, responsibility, and professional skill, and to make the protection and service of citizens their top priority.IG Islamabad made it clear that the timely redressal of citizens’ complaints, decisions on merit, and public-friendly policing are the fundamental priorities of Islamabad Police.
