Islamabad (Digital Posts) 125 officers and personnel of the Federal Police have been promoted to the next ranks. Formal notifications have been issued promoting 12 Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Inspector, 9 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) to Sub-Inspector, and 105 Head Constables to ASI.Inspector General of Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq pinned the ranks on the officers promoted to Inspector, congratulated them, and expressed best wishes for their future. A formal ceremony was held at the Central Police Office Islamabad in honour of the promoted officers, during which the IG Islamabad and DIG Headquarters pinned the Inspector ranks on the promotees.On the occasion, the IG Islamabad and DIG Headquarters congratulated the promoted officers and wished them well. They said that the promotions are recognition of the officers’ hard work, capability, and departmental service; however, with the new ranks, their responsibilities have also increased.The IG Islamabad directed the promoted officers to perform their professional duties with hard work, honesty, sense of duty, and dedication, and to always give priority to the rule of law and merit in the discharge of their functions. He also stressed the need to further improve the officers’ professional skills and performance.He said that police officers should adopt a polite, courteous, and professional attitude towards citizens, ensure timely resolution of their problems, and provide the best possible police services. Protection of citizens’ lives and property and the timely provision of justice are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police.The IG Islamabad expressed the hope that the promoted officers would discharge their new responsibilities in an excellent manner and play their full role in further improving the performance, service delivery, and departmental reputation of Islamabad Police.
