Islamabad (Digital Post) Police arrest 99 criminals, recover stolen property worth Rs. 15 million ,According to details, SP City zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain has issued a report regarding the actions taken by Islamabad Police City zone against criminal elements during the previous month. According to the report, City zone police, during various successful operations, arrested 13 members of 07 notorious criminal gangs who were involved in robbery, street crime, theft, and other serious offences.Police teams used modern technology, intelligence-based policing, human intelligence sources, and timely and effective operations to arrest the accused. Stolen goods worth more than Rs. 15 million were recovered from the arrested criminals, including two motorcycles, 13 valuable mobile phones, one laptop, batteries, cash amounting to Rs. 400,000, gold ornaments worth more than Rs. 09 million, and weapons with ammunition used in criminal activities.SP City Dr. Ayaz Hussain stated that during the same period, 86 proclaimed offenders, court absconders, and previously record holding criminals involved in various crimes were also arrested, and legal proceedings against them are underway.He said that challans against the arrested accused would be submitted before the courts based on strong evidence so that they could be punished according to the law. He further stated that indiscriminate action against criminal elements would continue with the same determination in the future, and the protection of citizens lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.Similarly, during a ceremony held at the SP City office, SP Dr. Ayaz Hussain handed over the recovered stolen property to its real owners after completion of legal formalities. The complainants appreciated the professional performance and timely actions of the police teams and thanked IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and his team.
