Islamabad (Digital Post): A suspect, identified as the son of a police officer and allegedly involved in the murder of a Rangers official in Karachi, has been arrested.
According to DIG South Asad Raza, the suspect, Sahil, who was allegedly involved in the killing of a Rangers official in Karachi’s Lyari area, has been taken into custody. Following the incident, the suspect had reportedly fled to Balochistan.
The DIG stated that the suspect is the son of a police officer and that the motive behind the killing of the Rangers official was found to be personal enmity. According to the investigation, the suspect allegedly carried out proper planning and reconnaissance before killing the Rangers official.
It is worth mentioning that Rangers official Abdul Qayyum was shot and martyred in Lyari on 18 July.
