Islamabad (Digital Post) Muharram security measures intensify, IGP Islamabad and senior officers conduct field visits,According to details, during Muharram-ul-Haram, the Islamabad Police continues inspection and field visits to ensure foolproof security arrangements and maintenance of law and order. In this regard, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, along with senior officers, visited Imambargahs in Sector G-9 and Shah Allah Ditta, where he reviewed the security arrangements made for processions and religious gatherings.The IGP Islamabad inspected deployed personnel, entry and exit points, security cordons, checking systems, and overall arrangements. He directed that Safe City cameras, modern technology, and live monitoring systems be used more effectively and actively. He said that ensuring the protection of lives and property of citizens and providing a peaceful environment during Muharram is the top priority of Islamabad Police. Similarly, senior officers of Islamabad Police also visited various Imambargahs, and procession routes to review security arrangements. They received briefings from police personnel deployed at key locations including Imambargah Sain Boota Darbar, and instructed them to remain fully alert and perform their duties with responsibility and vigilance so that law and order is maintained.In this series, a detailed inspection of the procession route and related security arrangements was also carried out. Police officers reviewed the routes, entry and exit points, surveillance systems, and emergency response arrangements, and instructed the concerned officials to ensure full implementation of the security plan.Furthermore, security arrangements for Muharram processions in various parts of the city, deployment of police personnel, traffic management plan, and public facilitation measures were also reviewed. On this occasion, officers and personnel on duty were given comprehensive briefings regarding the security plan, emergency response, and public safety, while special instructions were issued to maintain traffic flow and provide timely alternative routes to citizens.The IGP Islamabad stated that all divisions of Islamabad Police remain fully active and present in the field to ensure peaceful conduct of gatherings and processions in the federal capital, protection of citizens, and smooth flow of traffic is the utmost priority.
