ISLAMABAD (Digital Post) Over 7,000 police officers to be deployed for foolproof Eid security in capital Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a high-level meeting, to ensure foolproof security and coordinated traffic arrangements in the federal capital during Eid-ul-Adha. Senior officers from all divisions of Islamabad Police attended the meeting. A detailed review was conducted of security, operational strategies, and traffic management plans to ensure the safety of citizens at all costs, and a comprehensive and effective security plan was finalized.Under the security plan, more than 7,000 Islamabad Police officers and personnel will perform security duties across the federal capital during Eid-ul-Adha. They will be deployed at Eid congregations, mosques, Imambargahs, commercial centers, cattle markets, graveyards, bus terminals, and recreational spots.A coordinated and joint patrolling plan has been implemented across all zones, supervised by SDPOs and SHOs, while concerned zonal SP will personally monitor security arrangements in their respective areas. Special patrolling units will remain active in the field to ensure prompt and effective response in any emergency situation.The meeting decided to deploy additional personnel and establish special pickets at all sensitive locations, entry and exit points of the city, Faisal Mosque, bus terminals, and graveyards. The bomb disposal squad will conduct thorough search and clearance operations in various areas.Similarly, Dolphin Force and other specialized units will carry out continuous patrolling in commercial centers, shopping areas, and cattle markets to maintain law and order and ensure a safe environment for citizens.Enhanced security and traffic arrangements have also been made at recreational spots and other key locations. A comprehensive traffic management plan will be strictly implemented to ensure smooth traffic flow, and strict prohibition of illegal parking around places of worship and sensitive locations will be enforced, along with provision of alternate parking arrangements.On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad stated that the Police Khidmat Markaz Cascade and the Police Station on Wheels will continue to provide all routine services to citizens during the days of Eid-ul-Adha. He directed all officers to ensure their presence in the field, manage the security and traffic systems in a coordinated manner, and provide the best possible facilities to citizens. He further made it clear that no negligence or carelessness during duty will be tolerated, and all officers must perform their responsibilities in an exemplary and efficient manner.
