Islamabad (Digital Post) Due to the alleged negligence of CDA Sanitation Department sweeper Shahzad Masih and area inspector Ghafoor, vehicles parked in the garage of Residential Block No. 10 in Sector I-9 Islamabad caught fire. The intensity of the fire within moments burned valuable vehicles and motorcycles parked inside the garage.

On May 19, after completing cleaning work, the sweeper allegedly set fire to garbage near the garage, and the fire quickly intensified. Resident of Block No. 10, Abrar Yousafzai, stated that they had previously warned the sweeper several times and had repeatedly complained to the sanitation inspector that burning waste damages the environment and could lead to serious losses.

However, according to the complainant, CDA Inspector Ghafoor and sweeper Shahzad Masih intentionally caused this damage.

The issue did not end there. Following the fire incident on May 19, Abrar Yousafzai submitted an application at I-9 Police Station after the incident. However, according to him, police allegedly showed traditional negligence and despite six days passing, he continued being sent from one place to another with only assurances and requests to return the next day.

The complainant stated that when he asked the relevant officer about the delay, he was told that they had bigger matters to deal with and that he should contact the IT department because his application had been forwarded there.

However, after checking with the IT room of I-9 Police Station, he reportedly discovered that even after six days, no application had been received there.

The affected citizen, Abrar Yousafzai, demanded that the Chairman CDA and the Inspector General of Islamabad Police take immediate notice of the matter so that action can be taken on his complaint, an FIR can be registered, and justice can be ensured.
