Haripur (Digital Post): An important peace consultative meeting was held in district Haripur to ensure law and order, promote inter-sect harmony, brotherhood, and strengthen social stability. The meeting was chaired by DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur.

A large number of religious scholars, respected spiritual leaders, and representatives of all schools of thought from across the district participated in the meeting.

For the first time in the history of Haripur, scholars and spiritual leaders from all schools of thought were gathered on such a large scale at one platform. On this occasion, all participants were given the opportunity to express their views regarding the establishment of peace, religious harmony, and mutual unity.

The gathering of participants on one platform is clear evidence that all segments of society desire the promotion of peace, tolerance, and brotherhood.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the current law and order situation in the district, religious tolerance, mutual respect, positive use of social media, the effective role of the pulpit, and further strengthening public unity. Religious scholars, spiritual leaders, and representatives of different sects also presented their valuable suggestions for promoting peace, tolerance, and brotherhood in society.

DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur said that religious scholars play a key role in the reform of society and in providing positive guidance to the younger generation. He stated that religious harmony, unity, and adherence to the law are the foundation of a peaceful society.

He further said that compliance with law and code of conduct is mandatory for every citizen, and no one will be allowed to exceed the defined limits. He urged religious scholars to promote the message of patience, tolerance, unity, and brotherhood in their sermons and gatherings, and to use social media in a positive manner.

DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur expressed his commitment that maintaining law and order in the district is a shared responsibility of all, and the police will work together with all schools of thought to foil the intentions of anti-peace elements. He said that any misunderstanding or dispute will be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding.

At the end of the meeting, a special prayer was offered for the safety, stability, and lasting peace of the country and the nation.
