Haripur (Digital Post) Press conference by DPO Shafiullah Gandapur on the arrest of nominated accused in a double murder case.

Haripur (Digital Post) 09 accused involved in a double murder and injuring one person have been arrested. A carry dabba used in the incident, 02 motorcycles, one 8mm rifle, one .222 bore rifle, and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition have been recovered.

DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur, while giving a press briefing to media representatives, stated that within the limits of Police Station City on GT Road, Darvesh Balamukabil Madina CNG, on dated 26.03.2026, Abdul Razzaq son of Sher Afzal, Iftikhar son of Abdul Razzaq resident of Kaag, and Danish son of Abdul Hafeez resident of Makhan Colony, in connection with court appearance in case No. 249 dated 30.06.2025 under section AA 302/34/15 Police Station Saddar, were returning on rickshaw number G-2167. At that time, the accused riding on carry dabba number LWB-6874 and motorcycles including Naqash Ahmed son of Nazak Iqbal, Khanwaiz son of Chin Zeb, Sher Dad son of Dildar, Dilzak son of Sher Afzal, Chin Zeb son of Makhan Dad, Sajid son of Mir Afzal, and Aftab Ahmed alias Mohsin son of Nazak Iqbal stopped the rickshaw.

Naqash Ahmed and Khanwaiz opened fire with rifles, while Aftab Ahmed alias Mohsin fired with a 30 bore pistol on the rickshaw on the instigation of Fayyaz Ahmed son of Muhammad Yousaf, Shah Nawaz son of Dilzak, and Ramzan son of Sajid Iqbal, residents of Kaag. As a result of the firing, Abdul Razzaq and Iftikhar died on the spot, while Danish sustained injuries on his right arm and right leg.

After the incident, the accused fled leaving behind the carry dabba. On the complaint of complainant Waqar, a case was registered against the accused under sections 302, 324, 109, 148, and 149 PPC. Police took the carry dabba and other evidence into custody from the scene and initiated blockades and search operations across the district for the arrest of the accused.

DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur took immediate notice of the incident and issued orders to DSP City Saeed Yadun, SHO Police Station City Siddiq Shah, and Incharge OCU Saeed Shah to form teams, trace and arrest the accused involved in the incident, and recover weapons and ammunition.

SHO Police Station City Siddiq Shah, along with investigation staff Inspector Akhtar Hussain and other police personnel, under the supervision of DSP City Saeed Yadun, conducted operations and arrested the accused including Naqash Ahmed son of Nazak Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed son of Nazak Iqbal, Dilzak Khan son of Sher Afzal, Fayyaz Ahmed son of Muhammad Yousaf, Khanwaiz son of Chin Zeb, Chin Zeb son of Makhan Dad, Sajid Iqbal son of Mir Afzal, Sher Dad son of Dildar, and Ramzan son of Sajid, residents of Kaag.

From the accused, the carry dabba used in the incident, 02 motorcycles, one 8mm rifle, one .222 bore rifle, and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition were also recovered. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.

DPO Haripur directed SP Investigation Haripur to personally supervise the case and ensure that the investigation process is conducted strictly on merit, with transparency and in accordance with legal requirements, so that there is no negligence in the provision of justice. He further directed that all evidence should be collected in a timely manner using modern methods and that the case should be taken to its logical conclusion on strong grounds.
