Rawalpindi (Digital Posts) A dignified Iftar party was organized in honor of the Capital Journalists Association at the Rawalpindi Press Club. The Iftar dinner was hosted by former President of the National Press Club, senior journalist, and Bureau Chief Shakeel Qarar, and was attended by prominent members of the journalistic community.
President of the Capital Journalists Association, Waqar Haider Chohan, participated in the event along with a delegation. The delegation included Malik Imran Khan Awan, Khazina Shah, Hoorain Fatima, Feroz Joya, and other members. On this occasion, the guests were warmly welcomed, and an atmosphere of mutual respect, brotherhood, and professional harmony was observed.
During the Iftar party, detailed discussions were held on important issues including the challenges faced by journalism in the country, the role of the media, the welfare of journalists, professional responsibilities, and the promotion of mutual cooperation.
The speakers emphasized the need for collective efforts to promote free, responsible, and positive journalism and described unity and solidarity within the journalistic community as the need of the hour.
Host Shakeel Qarar thanked the guests for their participation and stated that strong ties and cooperation among journalistic organizations would not only help resolve journalists’ issues but also promote positive and responsible journalism in society. He termed such occasions as extremely important for the welfare and professional development of journalists.
