Islamabad (Digital Post) The large-scale business of stealing petrol and diesel from oil tankers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sihala could not be stopped. The performance of the administration has become questionable, sources say.
IG Islamabad, DIG, and SSP Operations need to take immediate notice and play their role in protecting the national exchequer. The process of illegal theft of petrol and diesel worth millions daily from oil tankers at an illegal agency continues openly. According to sources, daily theft of petrol and diesel worth millions of rupees within the limits of Police Station Sihala has started affecting the national treasury.
With the alleged collusion of some police officials, the agency mafia has found a new method. The SHO, who remained Reader SP Sawan before being appointed as SHO Sihala, was informed multiple times, while in front of Sihala Police on Sihala Main Road, illegal agency owners changed their method and agreed on a new way of operating. Other agencies were closed and all operations were gathered at the agency of a man named Nadeem alias Dema. Sources further stated that despite repeated public complaints, only paperwork action was taken by the police, while Nadeem alias Dema continued and is still continuing the illegal business. Despite daily patrols and checkpoints by Sihala Police, such open illegal activity at the agency of a person named Nadeem is not possible without collusion. It should be remembered that the said illegal agency is openly operating under the cover of oil tanker parking, which is also a clear violation of the Tenancy Act, while no safety arrangements to deal with any emergency situation are reportedly present at the agency.
This is a matter of serious concern, as the said agency is becoming a source for running other small illegal agencies in surrounding areas. On one hand, the Islamabad administration appears active day and night in controlling other crimes, but it is also being considered necessary to put a check on the petrol and diesel theft mafia, which has become a question mark on the performance of the Islamabad administration.
