ISLAMABAD (Digital Posts) The harmony between Pakistan’s military and civilian leadership made 2025 a historic year for Pakistan. There has hardly been a period in Pakistan’s political and military history when such an extraordinary atmosphere of intellectual and practical harmony has been established between the country’s Prime Minister and the military leadership as it is today.
The harmony, mutual trust, and shared vision of state order and stability found between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir have not only strengthened Pakistan’s internal structure but have also raised the country’s reputation to an extraordinary extent at the global level.
In various periods of the past, claims were made that “civilian and military leadership are on the same page”, but in practice, that balance and harmony have never been seen in such a stable form.
Today, these two national leaders, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, are leading Pakistan towards stability and dignity at a time when the world is changing rapidly,
The balance of power in the region is shifting, and the axes of global diplomacy are being reorganized.
The Indo-Pak war of May 2025, which changed the landscape of the region in just four days, proved to be a decisive turning point in the history of Pakistan. This war not only demonstrated to the world Pakistan’s defense capabilities but also highlighted the unity of the nation’s political and military leadership.
The world saw how Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif took timely decisions at critical moments, continued to consult with Field Marshal Asim Munir, and together they devised a strategy that shattered the enemy’s plans, giving Pakistan’s national dignity a new height.
For a few years, relations between Pakistan and the United States had been cold. After the May 2025 war, the situation completely changed, and there was great warmth between the two countries.
US President Donald Trump was unusually impressed by the defense strategy, quick decisions, and aggressive but organized leadership style of Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir. His close circle later admitted that President Trump said about the Field Marshal that he was a winner and I like winners, not losers.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif impressed foreign leaders with his courtesy, intelligence, and diplomatic insight whenever he met them after coming to power. On the occasion of the Gaza Peace Conference, President Trump mentioned Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal with great respect and love, regardless of the leaders of 20 countries present at the event, and stopped the speech and mentioned the Prime Minister and Field Marshal of Pakistan, and said, “I want to thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan. I have to say that my favorite Field Marshal of Pakistan, who is not here, but Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is here, if Shahbaz Sharif wants to say something that he has told me before, I will be very happy. Actually, it was a great honor for Pakistan. There is no example of any other Pakistani leader interrupting the President’s address and giving the microphone. There is no example of such positive comments about the Pakistani leadership in the international media before. The British newspaper The Guardian wrote in its report that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir have achieved something that other Pakistani leaders could only dream of, while American analyst Robert Redman said on CNN that Pakistan’s leadership duo turned a crisis into an opportunity. They have not only restored the country’s image but also redefined its strategic relevance. A country that was once portrayed negatively in the international media is now emerging as a stable, confident, and effective state. The basis of this change is political determination, military discipline, and mutual harmony between the leadership.
Field Marshal Asim Munir’s military vision and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s diplomatic wisdom have convinced the world that Pakistan is now not only self-sufficient in its own defense but also capable of playing an active role in establishing global peace.
The mutual respect, discipline, and unwavering consensus on national priorities between these two personalities is the foundation of Pakistan’s new era.
Despite serious challenges and the current critical situation, there is harmony between the military and civilian leadership, which is very useful and encouraging for Pakistan.
Thank Allah Almighty that today the military and civilian leadership in Pakistan are on the same page, like-minded and standing side by side.
This is a great favor from Allah Almighty. Pakistan is an Islamic and nuclear country, and its security, development, and stability are the common responsibility of all of us, regardless of the circumstances. We need to further strengthen our army. The government has put the country on a stable path, but the past government is responsible for the shortcomings that created such conditions in the country. May Allah Almighty protect Pakistan, grant us unity and understanding, and always enable us to play a positive role for the country and the nation. Amen, It should be noted that Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says that the civilian and military leadership are on the same page regarding the eradication of terrorism, all political parties are in agreement on the National Action Plan, the implementation of the National Action Plan is necessary to eradicate terrorism, Allah has commanded about the Khawarij to kill them wherever they are found, it is very clear that we have to win the war against terrorism. The provincial political leadership has complete clarity on how to fight the scourge of terrorism; this clarity is also shared by the people across Pakistan. Political parties and security forces have the same narrative in the war against terrorism; no one can touch us with the narrative of the war against terrorism, no one’s politics, and no one’s caste is above Pakistan.
Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, says that 80 percent of the terrorist incidents last year took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the reason for this is that a favorable political environment has to be provided to the terrorists there. Last year, significant successes were achieved in the war against terrorism, and the security forces carried out effective operations and successful operations against terrorism in different parts of the country. The entire nation and the security forces are making sacrifices in the war against terrorism, and the government of a province says that we will not allow operations there, so do these people want to create a similar atmosphere of terrorism again, just as these terrorists martyred thousands of people in Swat? He said that this time the narrative of such people has also come out in the open; these people have the same old political narrative. If someone asks them two to three questions, they do not have any answers; they want to become the approved view of the fitna al-Kharij.

DG ISPR said that the Chief Minister (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) is saying that Afghanistan should help us, that Kabul should guarantee our security, what kind of appeasement policy is this that you are asking Afghanistan to help us, the Chief Minister of KP is making a ridiculous statement, the statement of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also come out in the open, if there is no military operation, then do we have to sit at the feet of the Khawarij? Should the foreigner Noor Wali Masul be appointed as the Chief Minister of the province? Should he be sworn in, will Haibatullah tell us what will happen in Charsadda?’ DG ISPR also played a clip of Asad Qaiser and Imran Khan’s tweets in the press conference and said that you should listen carefully, the army is an institution of the federal government, we have a constitutional mandate to protect the security of Pakistan, this does not give you permission to hand over your areas to terrorists for your politics. He showed a statement by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi regarding tying dogs in mosques and said Why does this gentleman have ridiculous conversations, Because when there is no logic and argument, then such conversations have to be held that have no head, no feet, no front, no back. Giving the example of ANP, which was targeted by terrorists for opposing terrorism, the DG ISPR, without naming PTI, said that they say we are not ready to die, we will not stand, we will join them. He then raised the question, without naming PTI, why terrorists have never targeted this party. The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that there is no color or shade of a terrorist; we have no sympathy for any terrorist. One father of terrorism is the Afghan Taliban. We are on the right, and the right has to prevail; we are proud to fight the war against terrorism. The national war against terrorism has to be fought together; it has to be won. Illegal weapons are directly related to terrorism. There was a refugee camp in Punjab, which was cleared. Refugee camps have also been cleared in Balochistan; refugee camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa still remain. The PTI leadership is opposing operations against terrorism at every forum. Terrorism was funded with Iranian diesel; now oil is imported, and tax is paid on it. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the Afghan Taliban has nothing to do with the withdrawal of the US and allied forces, the US left behind $7.2 billion in modern weapons in Afghanistan, the Taliban are establishing their rule there and their settlement is starting here, they are clearly told that they are Khawarij, when we take action against terrorists, we are told to talk to them. He said that the question is asked that this 5397 is a very large number, yes, it is a very large number, so many operations are carried out on a daily basis, there are some things in life for which fighting is not only necessary but also permissible, we are engaging terrorists every where ,In the year 2025, 75,175 intelligence-based operations were conducted in the country, of which 14,658 were conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 58,778 in Balochistan and 1,739 in other areas. In 75,175 intelligence-based operations, 2,597 terrorists were killed. There were 5,397 incidents of terrorism across the country, in which 1,235 civilians and security personnel were martyred. Last year, a total of 27 suicide attacks were reported across the country, of which 16 were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Two of these suicide attacks were carried out by women. Addressing a press conference on the security situation, the DG ISPR said that 80 percent of the terrorist incidents took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to him, the reason for the high level of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the favorable environment available to terrorists there. Thanks to the strategy and operations of the security forces, operations against terrorists have become more effective than ever. Five years ago, the situation was that for every terrorist killed, there were three martyrdoms, while now this ratio has changed, and two terrorists are being killed for every martyrdom. The DG ISPR said that the stronghold of Fitna-ul-Kharij and Fitna is in Afghanistan. All terrorist organizations are in Afghanistan and are being nurtured. He said that India is using terrorist groups in the region as proxies and is providing them with financial resources, weapons, and logistical support. Security agencies have solid evidence in this regard, and this practice has become a serious threat to regional peace. Last year, the 10 major terrorist incidents included Bannu Cantt, Jafar Express, a civil bus in Nushki, a school bus in Khuzdar, Federal Constabulary and FC Headquarters Quetta, Police Training School DI Khan, Cadet College Wana, and Islamabad Judicial Complex. Afghan terrorists were found to be involved in all these incidents, while after strict measures on the Pak-Afghan border, a clear decrease in terrorist incidents was seen. In October last year, there was tension on the Pak-Afghan border. Pakistan repeatedly persuaded Afghanistan to handle the terrorists, but when that did not happen, Afghan posts were targeted within hours. “In 2021, the ruling political party facilitated the terrorists.” He mentioned the ten major terrorist attacks in Pakistan in 2025 and said that all those who carried out these attacks were Afghan citizens. Video statements of the arrested Afghan citizens who confessed to the attacks in Pakistan were also played at the press conference. He said that we targeted the TTP in Afghanistan, not the TTA. We have all the evidence that shows who the terrorists are and where they are being housed, and who is the main target. If you look at it, you can see 10 major incidents. The terrorists attacked civilians and soft targets. All these terrorist attacks were carried out by Afghans. The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that the US had left $7.2 billion worth of modern military equipment in Afghanistan, including night vision devices, long-range sniper rifles, bulletproof vests, protective gear, M4 and M16 rifles. This equipment was available to the Afghan Taliban and reached various terrorist organizations through the black market. In Pakistan, in 2021, the ruling political party started facilitating terrorists internally and decided to negotiate with them, while a big game was being played in Afghanistan, which was a reference to the negotiations between the then Pakistani government and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. DG ISPR said that when you provide so much space and resources to terrorists, there is an increase in terrorist incidents. In 2023, the state started standing against them. Referring to the Army Chief’s speech after the blast at the Police Lines mosque in Peshawar in 2023, he said that a clear stance was given on terrorism on that occasion, and now this clarification is available throughout Pakistan. He said in strong words that terrorists have nothing to do with religion, they must be eliminated, and action against them is inevitable; however, it takes time, because to deal with terrorism, it is necessary to arm yourself, get trained, adopt the right technology, create a narrative, and take the nation along. DG ISPR said that clashes took place on the Pak-Afghan border in Meerka Haq and October. India was blackened in Meerka Haq and taught a lesson. India fueled terrorism after Meerka Haq. India targeted children and women in the so-called Sindoor operation. The whole world saw India’s black face in the war of words. Who is India to target any of our citizens? No one has given India the right to harm any citizen or infrastructure of Pakistan. 4,625The call of India’s Operation Sindoor is still not leaving his mouth. Terrorists were attacked on the Pak-Afghan border, the Afghan Taliban regime attacked Pakistani posts, then what was necessary was done, and a hard message was given. In the last three months, we have closed the border; there are many signs here for those who see and understand. In October 2025, terrorists attacked on the Pak-Afghan border, and dozens of Afghan posts were wiped out in hours. Terrorism flourished due to the lack of an inclusive government in Afghanistan. He said that we have all the evidence that who the terrorists are and where they are giving space to whom, there are leaders and training camps of many terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, who is the main target, if you look at it, ten major incidents are visible, who is involved in them? These are all Afghans. Terrorists attacked civilians and soft targets. 21 civilians were martyred in the Jafar Express attack. A civilian bus was attacked in Nushki; all these terrorist attacks were carried out by Afghans. In APS Wana, Afghan terrorists tried to repeat APS Peshawar. Terrorists are killed wherever they appear on the border, the Jafar Express incident will never go away from the minds of Pakistanis, the FC headquarters in Quetta is attacked, all Afghans were in it, in which 8 civilians were martyred, the FC headquarters in Peshawar was attacked in November, this is a war of the nation, a war of each child, a narrative is created and it is said that this is the war of the army. In the context of Afghan contact, many terrorist documents are also found, terrorists are brainwashed and sent to Pakistan for terrorism, which creates a narrative that why terrorists are not killed where the fence is installed, they are killed outright, 71 terrorists were killed in April, their formations come like long rows of ants, 12 terrorists were killed in Hassan Khel, foreigner Amjad was also killed while crossing the border, terrorists are rounded up wherever they are seen on the border. A narrative is created that the Pakistani army uses drones, foreigners have started using armed quadcopters, Khawarij sit in mosques and use quadcopters for terrorism, their supreme patron, India, provides them with everything. He said that the Khawarij use children and women as shields to carry out terrorism, the army only targets terrorists and facilitators, quadcopters were used in Sambaza because there was no population there, and we use drones and quadcopters for surveillance. The army does not cause any collateral damage. The Corps Commander Peshawar has visited dozens of places and goes there every day, because there is nothing between the people and us; flood relief activities and roads are being cleared. The clarity that the Pakistani nation has received this year was not there before. The leadership and the people are clear on the Fitna al-Khawarij and the Fitna India; we had this explanation in 2023, and we still have it today. No one can touch us with this narrative; the Khawarij are outside the circle of Islam. The Afghan Taliban has found a new hero in the form of Modi. He said that this year the message of Pakistan was reiterated; this clarity is also for the scholars and the sheikhs. The second clarity came about the nexus between India and the Fitna al-Khawarij, who was the so-called Foreign Minister of the Taliban during the clashes with the terrorists. Their religion says to bow down to the feet of the Indians; the Afghan Taliban have found a new hero in the form of Modi. They said that the Afghan Taliban, Khawarij and India nexus have come to the fore in 2025, some more subtle incidents have also come to the fore this year, if Afghanistan and India come, we will fulfill their desire, we have been saying for a long time that Afghanistan has become a hub of terrorism, now the world is also saying that Afghanistan has become a hub of terrorism. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Japan, China, and America are all talking about the same thing. Iran and Europe have started expelling Afghans. America is also saying that they have to be expelled from here; they are involved in terrorism. More than a dozen terrorist organizations are thriving under the shadow of the Afghan Taliban. DG ISPR said that the UN is saying that 20 terrorist organizations are thriving in Afghanistan, Pakistan’s taxpayers’ money is being spent on this war, and terrorism started to rise in 2021. What, 193 terrorists were killed in 2021, Afghanistan changed in 2021, and the Doha agreement. The Afghan group made three promises in Doha the Afghan group promised that terrorism would be eliminated from Afghan soil, the Afghan group promised that women’s education would be ensured in Afghanistan. The stronghold of the Khawarij and the Hindustani sedition is in Afghanistan; all terrorist organizations are in Afghanistan, and they are being nurtured. The world has appreciated Pakistan’s anti-terrorism measures; anti-terrorism operations have been going on in Pakistan for more than 2 decades. The war
