KARACHI (Digital Posts) A major corruption scandal has surfaced in the special budget allocated for government schools in Jacobabad, raising serious concerns about financial misconduct within the education department. Investigations have intensified after reports of large scale irregularities in the funds meant for school development.

Director Education Primary Larkana, Khaleel Ahmed Mahar, has suspended TEO Female Jacobabad Assistant Aashiq Ali Bhutto, TEO Male Assistant Maqsood Soomro and TEO Female Thul Junior Clerk Abdul Ghani Ansari. All three have also been issued show cause notices with a one week deadline to respond.

According to the show cause notices, the officers violated SOPs, withdrew special budget through illegal methods and are facing allegations of misappropriating approximately twelve million rupees.

Sources confirm that suspensions were made to ensure a transparent inquiry. However, the suspended officers have started lobbying behind the scenes to influence the investigation.

Reliable sources also reveal that political interference is being used to pressure the authorities to remove the Director of Larkana, which has further complicated the matter.

Public circles have demanded that the corruption scandal must not be buried and that strict action should be taken against all involved officials.
