Islamabad (Digital Post) The Islamabad Chamber elections were held on September 16, 2026. Chairman of the Founder Democrats Group, Dr. Zia, said that the Election Commission conducted a very good election, but when our General Secretary Ahmed Osama Tahir started an investigation into how the panel vote gained such a large majority, while our group and our members were among the first 14 on the independent list, then how did this happen?<\/p>\n
Syed Nadeem Mansoor, who is also the President of Founder Democrats, said that an investigation always begins after an accident has occurred, whether it is a murder, an explosion, or an election. When we started the investigation, within three days we confirmed the things that we had learned from people. We submitted an application to the Chamber so that the application could enter the process.<\/p>\n
He said that we saw the names of deceased members on the voter list, then visited and checked bogus addresses, and then also examined the green-coloured paper that had been taken out of the ballot paper, and it was found that this too had been deposited after being stamped extensively. We believe that this election should be held again.<\/p>\n
We demanded recounting and the voter list on which a stamp has been placed indicating that this voter has cast their vote, but the Chamber is not providing the list. On the other hand, we have also sent a reminder of our application to DGTO.<\/p>\n
We have told the Chamber to take the system in the right direction; otherwise, sit with us and find a solution to these issues. And if it is the secretary\u2019s mistake or that of any scrutiny officer, they should be questioned.<\/p>\n
We are positive, but perhaps the Chamber is not understanding our concerns. How much the Chamber has been defamed. We have two years, and we will not let them sit comfortably because many candidates could be eliminated in the membership audit, and we will take this case to the High Court if we are not heard.<\/p>\n
