Islamabad (Digital Posts) The president of Rawalpindi\u2019s Nirankari Bazaar, Sheikh Ilyas Goga, has said that Nirankari Bazaar is the city\u2019s oldest wholesale market, consisting of eight hundred shops. The traders here deposit crores of rupees into the government treasury in the form of taxes.He said that the biggest problem of our market is the hanging, disorderly electricity wires, due to which several fire incidents have already occurred in the market. Yet to this day, no MNA or MPA has paid any attention to this important issue.Sheikh Ilyas Goga further stated that the long-standing problem of drinking water remains unresolved and has not been fixed. MNA Hanif Abbasi had promised a water filtration plant in this regard, but even after two years no work has been carried out on it.He added that the absence of public washrooms in Nirankari Bazaar and its adjoining markets causes serious difficulty for traders as well as for people who come to the market for shopping.Sheikh Ilyas Goga has appealed through the media to government representatives and the relevant authorities to pay immediate attention to these most important issues of the market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
