The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the operational system of Islamabad Police, various policing functions, and measures being taken to ensure the safety and security of citizens.During the visit, SDPO Margalla Circle Nausherwan Ahsan Minhas briefed the delegation on the central operational system, its working mechanism, and its effectiveness. The students were informed about the role of the Operations Division in maintaining law and order, preventing crime, ensuring an effective police response, and protecting the lives and property of citizens.The delegation also visited the office of SSP Operations Islamabad and Margalla Police Station, where they were briefed on the working of police officers and police stations, investigation procedures, community policing, patrolling, and the functioning of checkpoints established at the entry and exit points of the city.The delegation was informed that effective police patrolling across different areas of Islamabad plays an important role in preventing crime, monitoring suspicious activities, and ensuring the safety of citizens. Similarly, checkpoints established at the entry and exit points of the city help prevent crime and monitor the movement of suspicious individuals and vehicles through checking and verification procedures.The students were also briefed on the use of modern technology in policing and operational activities. The delegation appreciated the modern policing system, professional working methods, and various initiatives of Islamabad Police aimed at enhancing public safety and facilitating citizens.The participating students termed the visit informative and beneficial and expressed their appreciation to Islamabad Police for organizing the programme.
