ISLAMABAD (Digital Post): Former chief of army staff Gen (retd) Raheel Sharif met social and public figure Sardar Shoaib Mumtaz Khan Khattar on Sunday, where matters of national importance were discussed.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Mr Khattar acknowledged Gen Sharif\u2019s contributions towards strengthening national security, reinforcing state institutions and leading the fight against militancy during his tenure as army chief.<\/p>\n
He said the measures undertaken under Gen Sharif\u2019s leadership had played an important role in improving the country\u2019s security environment and promoting stability.<\/p>\n
Mr Khattar also underscored the importance of national unity, strong institutions and collective efforts in addressing the challenges facing the country. He stressed the need for greater engagement of the younger generation in constructive national development and nation-building initiatives.<\/p>\n
