Islamabad (Digital Post) IGP orders intensified crackdown on criminals and illegal weapons,According to details, an important meeting was chaired by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad, SSP Investigation, SSP Operations, and other senior police officers.The meeting reviewed the progress made on tasks assigned to various officers, ongoing operations against criminal elements, measures to further improve the quality of investigations, and the ongoing crackdown against individuals possessing illegal weapons under the “Weapon-Free Islamabad Campaign.”On this occasion, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed that intelligence based operations against criminal elements be further strengthened.He instructed officers to intensify indiscriminate action against proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals, ensure that investigations are completed strictly on merit, based on evidence and in accordance with legal requirements, and guarantee effective prosecution of cases in the courts.He also directed that the crackdown under the “Weapon-Free Islamabad\u201d campaign be further accelerated against those involved in the possession, public display, and sale or purchase of illegal weapons. He emphasized that strict legal action must be taken against such individuals and that no negligence or laxity in this regard would be tolerated.The IGP Islamabad further instructed all officers to ensure effective monitoring of operations in line with assigned targets, maintain close coordination, and perform their duties with the highest level of professionalism.
