His announcement to triple US naval operations in the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span> and further tighten the blockade of this key maritime route has reduced the chances of reviving negotiations, intensified regional tensions, and pushed the global energy crisis toward greater severity.<\/p>\n

The partial closure of the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span>\u2014one of the world\u2019s major trade routes\u2014not only threatens global economic stability but is also contributing to a new aggressive strategy involving attacks on cargo ships in open seas. This is dragging the world into a new crisis whose effects may be felt for decades.<\/p>\n

The disruption in the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span> has created uncertainty in financial markets, and no clear solution to the energy crisis is visible. Oil prices are rising again, although temporary pauses in fighting have caused stock markets in some regions to rebound sharply. Brent crude prices increased by 1.5% on Thursday, reaching $103.5 per barrel. Meanwhile, the S&P Global<\/span><\/span> PMI index indicates that the European economy has contracted for the first time in 16 months.<\/p>\n

In summary, the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span> by the United States and Iran poses a serious threat to global peace. The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan will continue its efforts for peace in the Middle East and play a positive role in ensuring regional stability. Wars are never a solution; they leave behind destruction, devastation, and long-lasting hatred that can take centuries to heal. Today, the world once again stands at a dangerous threshold where the smell of gunpowder and clouds of smoke are rapidly dimming hopes for peace.<\/p>\n

The United States and Iran must understand that stubbornness and ego on the global stage come at a heavy collective cost for nations and people. Flexibility is not weakness but wisdom. The issue of the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span> is no longer regional\u2014it is becoming a global conflict that can only be resolved through direct dialogue or significant international pressure.<\/p>\n

Countries like Pakistan are attempting mediation, but meaningful progress depends on changes in US behavior and possible flexibility in Iranian policy. Iranian leadership must also reflect on what its current strategy has delivered to its people and consider adopting a more realistic, less emotional approach.<\/p>\n

Silence on rising tensions between Iran and the United States could turn the entire region into ashes.
