Islamabad (Digital Post) IGP Islamabad reviews citywide traffic management, issues key directives,Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a meeting with the Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the overall traffic situation and arrangements across the city was conducted. Special focus was given to traffic management at construction sites, educational institutions, public and private offices, commercial centers, and major highways. The IGP Islamabad directed the CTO to ensure effective and coordinated traffic management at congested areas so that citizens do not face any inconvenience in their daily commute. He further instructed that proper and organized parking arrangements be ensured at commercial centers, offices, and educational institutions, and that special measures be taken during peak hours to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow.He also emphasized strict and impartial legal action against drivers involved in serious traffic violations to ensure enforcement of traffic laws. Additionally, timely information regarding alternate routes should be provided to the public, and additional traffic police personnel should be deployed at key locations.The IGP Islamabad stressed the importance of disseminating timely traffic advisories, road updates, and necessary instructions through social media platforms and ITP FM radio, enabling citizens to plan their travel in advance.Furthermore, he directed that modern, citizen friendly initiatives be introduced to further facilitate the driving license issuance system, ensuring maximum convenience for the public.At the conclusion of the meeting, the IGP Islamabad reiterated that effective traffic management, smooth flow of traffic on roads, and ensuring the safety of citizens from accidents are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police, and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
