The report highlighted a sharp decline of 74 percent in burglary cases, along with reductions of 19 percent in robberies and 17 percent in murder cases. Incidents of vehicle and motorcycle theft also fell by 22 percent, reflecting improved policing and enforcement measures. However, the report noted that sporadic incidents of street crime, snatching and theft continued to be reported by residents.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In Rawalpindi, the report pointed to a decline in serious crimes such as robbery-murder, kidnapping for ransom and vehicle snatching, attributing the improvement to intensified police operations and better recovery of stolen vehicles.
