Islamabad (Digital Post) Fateh Jang Tehsildar Chaudhry Shafqat Mehmood on Defence Day termed September 6 a \u201cgolden chapter\u201d in the country\u2019s history, recalling how the Pakistani nation and its armed forces thwarted the enemy\u2019s designs with steadfast resolve.<\/p>\n
He said the martyrs and ghazis of the 1965 war were the real heroes who proved with their ultimate sacrifices that the defence of Pakistan is impregnable. \u201cThe entire nation today pays glowing tribute to those sons of the soil who laid down their lives for the motherland,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n
Mr Mehmood stressed that Pakistan\u2019s armed forces and the people remained united. \u201cThe enemy must remember that we are ready to defend every inch of our homeland. Pakistan desires peace but any aggression will be met with full force,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n
Referring to recent Pakistan-India hostilities, the tehsildar said:<\/p>\n
